‘Run Na Web’ is a combination of English and Swahili words which translate to ‘Run with a Website’. The programs’s goal
is to enable new and small business that are not able to get an online presence due to challenges to do with cost, get a website
for free.
The Program started in 2021, during the covid19 pandemic. The pandemic did affect many SME’s to an extent that starting even
a small business or doing marketing campaigns was a big challenge. The first phase run from August 2021 to December 2021. We
managed to engage and build websites for over 130 SME’s. We have continued to offer support and maintenance for the SME’S that enrolled in the
program upto date.
The program targets new businesses and small and medium enterprises, with an aim of giving an online presence to boost their
brand or businesses. There is no qualification criteria to be eligible for this program. All you have to do is to register
for the program HERE and one of our agents will get in touch with you and give the directions from there. Once everything has
been provided, it takes a maximum of 5 days to have the 1st draft for review.
As the program is a free web services, Uidevlabs doesn’t do Domain name registration and Hosting but we have partnerships with
other domain and hosting providers. Due to this, the only expense for the SME is to cater for domain name and hosting. The SME
may choose to get from a provider of choice and give us the credentials or we can do it for them in conjunction with our partners
at a discounted cost of Kes 3000 for both domain and hosting.
The second phase of the program runs from 1st July 2023 to 30th September 2023. The program covers the following.
1. Simple display websites
2. Ecommerce websites
3. Travel and Tours websites
4. Blogs and Portfolio site
